Associate Director, Specialized STEM Programs
Liberty Science Center
Andrew is the Associate Director of Specialized STEM Programs at Liberty Science Center, and perhaps the only camp professional with an ambiguous title.
Liberty Science Center is a 300,000-square-foot learning center located in Jersey City, NJ. The Science Center houses 12 museum exhibition halls, including 110 live animal species, giant aquariums, a 3D theater, K-12 classrooms and labs, teacher-development programs, and the Western Hemisphere's biggest planetarium. More than 750,000 students, teachers, and parents visit Liberty Science Center each year, and tens of thousands more participate in the Center's off-site and online programs.
At the Science Center, Andrew is the Summer Camp Director, and oversees other out-of-school time programs like after school, scout programs, and family experiences. Taking STEM out of the classroom relieves the pressure of testing and success, allowing us to focus on fun and igniting the curiosity of children.
