Marisa (she/her) is the Staffing & CIT Director at Woodmont Day Camp, a private, traditional day camp in Rockland County, NY. Since joining the year-round team in 2019, Marisa has worn and continues to wear numerous hats at Woodmont; including, Transportation Director, Leadership Council Liaison and even Movement Instructor during the summer of 2020. She enjoys being the constant throughline for new and returning staff all year, while also helping to shape future Woodmont staff.
Previously, Marisa spent 6 years in a variety of roles at A BroaderWay Foundation (ABW), a nonprofit organization dedicated to amplifying the power of young women and femmes through summer camp and the arts. During her tenure at ABW, the organization grew from a short-term camp for 50 participants to an extensive year-round program and camp for more than 100.
In 2022, Marisa was honored to receive the Michael Gordon Young Leaders award, which recognized her dedication to the camp industry on behalf of the ACA NY/NJ. Additionally, she is an active member of ACA as a Standards Visitor and holds positions on the DEIB and Tri-State Program Committees. Marisa is passionate about every child experiencing the magic of camp and dedicates her time to organizations like Project Morry and SCOPE.
