"Chris Hudson has a lifelong passion for improving outcomes for children, families, and those who work with them. Starting at age 8, when he accidentally set up a counseling practice for kindergarteners, he has dedicated over 30 years to fostering spaces where young people feel cared for, empowered, and a sense of belonging.
As a social worker, Chris advocated for children facing mental health challenges and affected by abuse and neglect. He champions racial, ethnic, and queer diversity and inclusion, believing everyone deserves access to life-changing opportunities.
Chris co-founded Camp Highlight, a community for LGBTQ families, and authored a curriculum focused on communication and inclusivity. Now, through Planetchris Consulting, he helps child care organizations create equitable, sensitive, and professional environments for staff and families."
