For over 40 years, Joe has held just about every position at camp from Counselor to Director at day and overnight programs. As a former Adaptive Physical Education teacher, these programs have also included five years at New York Special Olympics and summer camps for children and adults with special needs. Now at Spark Day Camp, Joe and his team have created a new program going from 50-550 campers in just four short years.

Joe has always felt one of camp's main focuses should be to develop more "Camp People" who by definition, look forward to giving back and can then sustain your summer program. Joe's joy and expertise lie in his abilities to motivate colleagues and support and recognize their efforts in order to create a camp community where staff identify working collaboratively and all staff can rely on each other to exceed expectations.
