A key aspect of your role at camp, at any level, has always been, is now, and always will be to keep campers and staff safe. We know–from anecdotes and statistics–that there are practices you can follow that measurably increase the safety and belonging of queer and trans* campers–and positively impact the experiences of all campers and staff. Intended to complement other sessions outlining your camp’s relationship to evolving legal requirements, this session will outline how you can stay true to your values, maintain a focus on safety, and prioritize the needs and voices of trans* staff and campers.
