Camp can be a high-powered pressure cooker. From sudden shifts in weather, camper injuries, or difficult personalities among staff or campers, we are faced with challenging situations every day that need to be processed. Learning how to cope in difficult situations is one of the most valuable skills one can possess as a leader. In this session, you will learn how to identify and manage your emotional triggers and then build a Toolbox filled with a wide range of mindful Coping Skills to help you manage stress, improve your mood, and build resilience so you feel less overwhelmed. And the very same coping skills that you learn in this session are easy enough to teach to your campers, which will help them to navigate challenging situations at camp with greater composure and self-control.
