The Power of Play is a highly engaging and interactive session designed to give camp counselors and staff an introduction to empowerment workshops that provide essential upstream prevention skills for youth to live a life of resiliency. Youth camps are in a unique position to provide support and education to youth, helping building resiliency.

Through the use of carefully-designed "Stractivities" (strategy + activity), attendees will experience how the Lead U Crew engages youth with play and mediates reflection on important social-emotional learning fundamentals, help-seeking skills and coping skills. Stractivities and reflection topics to be covered are:
1) A Cold Wind Blows - Connection to Others 2) Coney Island - Active Listening 3) Artist, Clay, Model - Effective Communication 4) Minute to Tin It - Gratitude 5) Rack, Paper, Scissors - Decision Making and Smart Choices
